Brickwork & Blockwork

Brickwork is where the building side of CCC started, and it still runs through everything we do — new walls, repairs, and matching old brick honestly rather than papering over it.

Work in this area includes new external walls, garden and boundary walls, repointing, brick and blockwork repairs, and matching existing brickwork on extensions and alterations so new work does not look bolted on.

Chester and Cheshire have a lot of older brick housing stock, and matching mortar colour, brick bond, and pointing style to what is already there matters more than most people expect.

Damp, cracking, and movement in brickwork are usually a symptom of something else — poor drainage, a failed damp course, or ground movement. We look at the cause, not just the crack.
