Hardscaping & Landscaping

[DRAFT COPY — for review at Gate 1b]

Outdoor work built like the house it belongs to. We lay patios, paths and driveways, build retaining and garden walls, form steps, put up fencing, and do the groundwork underneath all of it.

The sub-base, the drainage and the levels come first. A patio that puddles or a drive that cracks was almost always built wrong underneath, not on top, so that is where the work goes.

Materials are matched to the property rather than to a catalogue — natural stone, porcelain, block paving, gravel and sleepers all behave differently, and what suits a Victorian terrace is not what suits a new build.

Front gardens have their own rules. Turning one into a driveway and running water off it towards the street can need permission and a drainage plan, and we tell you which applies to your job before work starts. This is general guidance, not legal advice.

Garden and boundary walls are covered on our Brickwork & Blockwork page, and garden rooms and outbuildings sit with Extensions. It is the same team either way.

How it works

  1. Tell us about the job through our guided estimate form, or call us directly.
  2. We visit the property to look at the work and talk through what it needs.
  3. We put together a written estimate for your project.
  4. If you go ahead, we agree a start date and payment stages before any work begins.
